The vision is to become the “go to” place for individuals who want to make, mend, innovate, and socialise with like-minded makers, and share skills, equipment, and knowledge. Our activities will provide benefit to members of the Dyfi Valley community who are interested in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths), crafts, and related activities.
We have secured a physical base to use as a workshop space and tool storage for use by members. People who do not have the funds or space to use large or expensive equipment will be able to pool resources and have access to a workshop space.
The Makerspace premises will act as a hub for socialising and skill-sharing between members around the activities of making and mending.
We intend to host open days and promote the Makerspace to engage the wider community. Non-members will be able to learn about the Makerspace, try equipment and activities, and have the option to join.
If the Makerspace makes any surplus money it will be reinvested into the company, for new equipment, improving the premises, and possibly subsidising memberships for people with low incomes.

- These are the standard rules we have to follow for arranging regular meetings, voting on proposals, etc. It contains details on members’ voting rights. It also contains the asset lock, the rules that ensure that if the organisation closes down the funds and equipment will benefit another asset-locked organisation (such as a charity or another CIC) rather than profiting its directors.
