We are very happy to welcome our new space managers: Nicola Farrington and Ruth Gordon!

Thanks to our recent grant from the National Lottery, we have been able to employ them on a 3-year contract for 7.5 hours a week each. They’ll be responsible for all aspects of managing the physical and digital realms of Machspace and will also be hosting regular open days and inducting new members.

Many of you will know Ruth already, who has been involved as a volunteer, director and ad-hoc space manager for about a year now. Nicola comes to us with a wealth of experience in organising and running arts events and exhibitions, and she also works at the Corris pottery, so we are very excited to see what inspiration and improvements she will bring to Machspace!

Cassian, Avery, Altaea, Chris, and Ruth still remain as directors, and will still be involved in the background with decision-making, but much of the day-to-day management tasks will now fall to Nicola and Ruth.
